Creative powerhouse Tracy Lines opens the doors to her relaxed and artful inner-city home that combines a bit of country and city style.

CHEAT SHEET
Who lives here:
Creative director and publishing consultant Tracy Lines of TLC (Tracy Lines Creative); her partner Paul Picksley, program manager at William Blue College of Hospitality and Management; and daughters Evie and Stella.

Style of home: A three-bedroom weatherboard cottage. The home has been slowly revitalised since the family moved in, but the landscaping work was undertaken immediately.

LESSONS LEARNT
Luxury buy: My guiltiest pleasure was the Gervasoni ‘Ghost’ sofa from Anibou – it’s grown-up but also practical. The cover is machine-washable.”

Any lingering concerns? “I wanted the bathroom of my dreams, but realised it’s functional for now, so I’m happy to live with it.”

Biggest lesson: “Don’t go rushing in all at once. Accept that your living space will grow and change, and adapt while you have a growing family. I came in thinking the house needed to be a certain way, but then realised it all changes as time and life go on.”
